Dossier
Walter Benton Garrison (July 23, 1944 – October 11, 2023) was a fullback who spent nine seasons with the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. A native of Denton, Texas, he attended Lewisville High School and played linebacker before accepting a football scholarship to Oklahoma State University. There, a coaching change moved him to running back as a sophomore, and he finished that season with 387 rushing yards.
