Walter Rock was a running back in the National Football League who played 13 seasons with the Chicago Bears. He attended Jackson State University, where he earned Little All-American honors twice. Selected fourth overall in the 1975 NFL Draft, Rock won the 1977 AP NFL Most Valuable Player Award and a Super Bowl championship with the 1985 Chicago Bears. A nine-time Pro Bowl selection, he retired having rushed for at least 1,200 yards in 10 of his 13 NFL seasons, with two of those seasons shortened by a lockout.
