Wayne Causey (born December 26, 1936, in Ruston, Louisiana) was a professional baseball infielder who played 11 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1955 to 1968. A switch between shortstop, second base, and third base, Causey appeared in 1,105 games for the Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Athletics, Chicago White Sox, California Angels, and Atlanta Braves. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. After struggling early with Baltimore, he found his stride in Kansas City, batting .270 with 640 hits in 689 games. He finished 21st in 1963 American League MVP voting, hitting .280 with eight home runs and 44 RBI that season.
