Wilf Cude

Wilf Cude (July 4, 1906 – May 5, 1968) was a Welsh-born Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played ten seasons in the NHL. Born in Barry, Wales, he emigrated to Canada as a child and later developed his game in Winnipeg. Cude played for the Philadelphia Quakers, Boston Bruins, Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings, and Montreal Canadiens across a career spanning 1929–30 to 1940–41. A two-sport athlete, he also played soccer as an outside right. As a youth in Winnipeg, he was a childhood friend of fellow NHL goaltender Charlie Gardiner.
