Wilhelm Heinrich "Willie" Huber (January 15, 1958 – June 28, 2010) was an ice hockey defenceman born in Strasskirchen, Germany. Standing 6 feet 5 inches, he was drafted ninth overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft and entered the lineup the following season, recording 31 points and being named the team's Rookie of the Year. He scored at least 14 goals and 40 points for Detroit in each season between 1979 and 1983, often pairing with Reed Larson on the power play. He went on to play for the New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, and Philadelphia Flyers over ten NHL seasons. In 655 NHL games he recorded 104 goals and 217 assists, with his best season in 1980–81, when he posted 49 points on 15 goals and 34 assists.
