Willie Edward "Puddin' Head" Jones (1925–1983) was a right-handed third baseman who spent the bulk of his 15-season Major League career with the Philadelphia Phillies (1947–1959), before finishing with the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds. Born in Dillon, South Carolina, Jones served in the U.S. Navy during World War II before reaching the majors. Over 1,691 games, he posted a .258 batting average with 190 home runs and 812 RBI, while recording a .963 fielding percentage at third base.
