Willie Thornton

Willie Thornton is an American wide receiver who played college football at Texas A&M-Commerce and briefly appeared in the Canadian Football League. At Texas A&M-Commerce, he had a standout 2008 performance against Eastern New Mexico, catching seven passes for 266 yards and four touchdowns — including a 98-yard score on the opening play — earning Lone Star Conference North player of the week honors. As a senior, he recorded 48 receptions for 923 yards and 10 touchdowns. He signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL in 2010 and was promoted to the active roster that November.
