Dossier
Zebulon Alexander Terry (1891–1988) was an infielder who played in the major leagues from 1916 to 1922, appearing for the Boston Braves, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, and Pittsburgh Pirates. A Stanford University product, he made his big-league debut on April 12, 1916, starting at shortstop for the White Sox. Terry found his steadiest work with the Cubs, where he accumulated the bulk of his 605 career hits. In his final major league season, 1922, he led the National League in sacrifice hits with 22. He retired from baseball in early 1923 to pursue real estate in the Los Angeles area.
