Al Beauchamp

Alfred Beauchamp (born June 25, 1944) played linebacker in the AFL and NFL after playing college football for the Southern Jaguars. He was selected in the fifth round of the 1968 NFL/AFL Draft by the expansion Cincinnati Bengals and signed with the club that June. In the Bengals' inaugural 1968 season, he appeared in all 14 games and recorded two interceptions, returning one 17 yards for his first career touchdown against Buffalo. In 1970, he broke into the starting lineup and helped Cincinnati post its first winning record (8–6) and its first AFC Central Division title. His career-high six interceptions came in 1971.
