Al Ecuyer

Allen Joseph Ecuyer (1937–2012) was an American football player born in New Orleans who attended Jesuit High School before playing college football at Notre Dame. A guard for the Fighting Irish from 1956 to 1958, he was a three-year starter and earned consensus first-team All-American honors in 1957, then served as co-captain of the 1958 team. He went on to a professional career in the Canadian Football League, playing guard and linebacker for the Edmonton Eskimos (1959–1965), Toronto Argonauts (1966), and Montreal Alouettes (1967–1968), appearing in 141 games and intercepting 13 passes for 161 yards.
