Alex Currie

Alexander John Currie (1891–1951) was an Ottawa-born professional hockey player and coach active in the early years of organized hockey. He played forward in the National Hockey Association, appearing with the Haileybury Comets, Montreal Wanderers, and Ottawa Senators, and was part of the Senators' Stanley Cup championship team in the 1910–11 NHA season. He was also loaned to the Quebec Bulldogs for one game that season. After his playing career, Currie coached several Ottawa-area clubs before serving as head coach of the NHL's Ottawa Senators for the 1925–26 season.
