Alex McKinnon

Robert Alexander McKinnon (1895–1949) was a Canadian ice hockey forward who played five NHL seasons between 1924 and 1929. Before turning professional, McKinnon served two years in World War I, then played amateur hockey with the Sudbury Wolves of the Northern Ontario Hockey Association. He made his NHL debut with the Hamilton Tigers in 1924–25, scoring eight goals and three assists. When the Hamilton franchise relocated and became the New York Americans, McKinnon moved with the club, remaining for three seasons. He was traded to the Chicago Black Hawks for the 1928–29 season in exchange for Charley McVeigh, retiring after that campaign.
