Andre Boudrias

André Gerard Boudrias (September 19, 1943 – February 5, 2019) was a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who played 12 seasons in the National Hockey League along with two further years in the World Hockey Association between 1963 and 1978. He is best remembered for his time with the Vancouver Canucks, where he became the first offensive star in the franchise's history.

Signed by his hometown Montreal Canadiens at an early age, Boudrias starred for the Montreal Junior Canadiens between 1961 and 1964. He twice led the Junior Canadiens in scoring, including on the 1963–64 club that also featured Yvan Cournoyer, Jacques Lemaire and Serge Savard. He made an explosive entrance to the NHL in a four-game callup during the 1963–64 season, recording four assists and five points.

When he turned professional in 1964, Boudrias was projected to have a strong future with the Canadiens, but his career stalled while former teammates such as Cournoyer went on to become stars. Buried in Montreal's deep farm system, he saw only three games of NHL action over the next three seasons, recording a single assist.

In his later years, Boudrias worked as a scout for the New Jersey Devils.
