Andre Dupont

André Dupont, born July 27, 1949, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played 13 seasons in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues, Philadelphia Flyers and Quebec Nordiques. Known by the nickname "Moose," he won back-to-back Stanley Cups as a member of Philadelphia's "Broad Street Bullies" teams in the mid-1970s.

As a youth, Dupont played in the 1961 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with Trois-Rivières. He won a Memorial Cup in 1969 with the Montreal Junior Canadiens and was drafted by the New York Rangers in the first round of the 1969 NHL Amateur Draft. On November 15, 1971, he was traded along with Jack Egers, Mike Murphy and a player to be named later to the St. Louis Blues for Gene Carr, Jim Lorentz and Wayne Connelly. He won the Stanley Cup with the Flyers in 1974 and 1975.

On May 9, 1974, Dupont scored one of the most important goals in Philadelphia Flyers history. With 52 seconds left in game two of the Stanley Cup final, he scored from the slot, beating Boston's Gilles Gilbert to level the game at 2–2. He retired in 1983.
