Joseph André Denis Savard, born February 9, 1953, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey center. He was drafted sixth overall by the Boston Bruins in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft and reached the 1974 Stanley Cup Finals with Boston during his rookie season. Over a National Hockey League career spanning 790 games, Savard played for the Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, and Quebec Nordiques, recording 482 points on 211 goals and 271 assists.

After his playing days, Savard moved into coaching and management. He served as head coach of the Quebec Nordiques. He worked as a scout for the Ottawa Senators from 1994 to 1999 before being named an assistant coach for the club. On November 20, 2000, he became general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, holding the position until the end of the 2002–2003 regular season, when he stepped aside to allow Bob Gainey to take over. He then spent three years as Montreal's assistant general manager. On July 3, 2006, Savard was hired as an assistant coach for the Pittsburgh Penguins, working under head coach Michel Therrien, whom he had earlier fired while serving as general manager in Montreal.

Savard and his wife, Marie-France, have two sons, Patrick and Dany.
