Angelo Mosca

Angelo Valentino Mosca (February 13, 1937 – November 6, 2021) was an American professional football player and professional wrestler who played as a defensive lineman in the Canadian Football League. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, to Agnes and Angelo Mosca, he was the second oldest boy in a family of four boys and seven girls. His father was an immigrant from Panni in southern Italy. Raised in a working-class neighbourhood, Mosca ran away from home at the age of 16.

In addition to his football career, Mosca worked as a professional wrestler, performing under the nicknames King Kong Mosca and the Mighty Hercules. His son, Angelo Jr., also wrestled.

Mosca was elected to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1987. He was later inducted into the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2013. He died on November 6, 2021.
