Art Shamsky (born October 14, 1941) was an American Major League Baseball outfielder and first baseman who played from 1965 to 1972 for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, and Oakland Athletics. A platoon player for the 1969 World Series Champion New York Mets, Shamsky batted .300 with 14 home runs during the regular season and hit .412 in the postseason batting cleanup, finishing .368 overall. In 1966, he tied a major league record by homering in four consecutive at-bats. He attended the University of Missouri and grew up in University City, Missouri.
