Bill McKechnie

William Boyd McKechnie (1886–1965) was a professional baseball player, manager, and coach born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania. He debuted as a third baseman with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1907 during the dead-ball era. McKechnie became the first manager to win World Series titles with two different clubs, taking the 1925 Pirates and the 1940 Cincinnati Reds. He also won the 1928 National League pennant with the St. Louis Cardinals, making him one of only three managers to win pennants with three teams. His 1,892 career wins ranked fourth in major league history at his retirement in 1946. He was nicknamed "Deacon" for singing in his church choir.
