William John "Bill" Sweeney (March 6, 1886 – May 26, 1948) was a professional baseball player. He was born in Covington, Kentucky. He stood 5'11" and weighed 175 pounds, batting and throwing right-handed. He played in the major leagues from 1907 through 1914, primarily with the Boston Braves in the NL. His broader professional career spanned 1904 to 1914. He appears on E90-1 American Caramel, T204 Ramly, and T206 White Border. He died on May 26, 1948 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury, Massachusetts (Section Field Galilee; Section 3 - Lot 14 - Grave 1).
