Bill Whisler

Bill Whisler (born November 15, 1940) was an American football player who played college ball at the University of Iowa before being drafted by the Washington Redskins in the ninth round of the 1961 NFL Draft. After a late cut from the Redskins in 1962, he moved to the Canadian Football League, where he played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, BC Lions, and Montreal Alouettes. He won the Grey Cup in 1962 with Winnipeg. Whisler is a member of both the South Dakota Sports Hall of Fame and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Hall of Fame.
