William Joseph Klaus (December 9, 1928 – December 3, 2006) was an American professional baseball shortstop and third baseman who played in Major League Baseball from 1952 through 1963. Born in Spring Grove, Illinois, he attended Grant Community High School in Fox Lake, Illinois. Klaus played for the Boston/Milwaukee Braves, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Senators, and Philadelphia Phillies over his career, before finishing the 1963 season with the Chunichi Dragons in Nippon Professional Baseball. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. His younger brother Bobby Klaus also played in the major leagues.
