Bing Miller

Edmund John "Bing" Miller (1894–1966) was an American outfielder who played Major League Baseball from 1921 to 1936. Born in Vinton, Iowa, he debuted with the Washington Senators before being traded to the Philadelphia Athletics in 1922. As the Athletics' starting right fielder, he was part of the club's dynasty that won three consecutive American League pennants from 1929 to 1931 and back-to-back World Series titles in 1929 and 1930. Miller batted .331 with 93 RBI in 1929, playing alongside Hall of Famers Al Simmons, Jimmie Foxx, and Mickey Cochrane. He finished his career with a .311 batting average and later spent 17 years as a major-league coach.
