Bob Asher

Robert Dabney Asher (born June 13, 1948) was an offensive tackle in the National Football League who played for the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears. He played college football at Vanderbilt University, starting every game across three seasons. As a junior he earned All-South and second-team All-SEC recognition; as a senior he was named first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American, and appeared in the Senior Bowl and Chicago College All-Star Game. Dallas selected him in the second round of the 1970 NFL Draft, acquiring the pick from Chicago in a trade. A knee injury limited him to six games as a rookie.
