Bob Feerick

Robert Joseph Feerick (January 2, 1920 – June 8, 1976) was a 6'3" guard from Santa Clara University who played for the Washington Capitols during the franchise's entire run from 1946 to 1950, spanning the league's BAA and NBA eras. Playing under Red Auerbach, he earned All-NBA first-team honors in 1947 and 1948, averaging 16.8 and 16.1 points per game respectively. In 1949 he became the Capitols' player-coach. Over 221 career games he scored 2,936 points at 13.3 per game. He later returned to Santa Clara as head coach from 1950 to 1962.
