Bob Gross

Robert Edwin Gross, born August 3, 1953, is an American former professional basketball player. A forward standing 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 m) and weighing 200 pounds (91 kg), he attended Seattle University and California State University, Long Beach. He was selected in the 1975 NBA draft by the Portland Trail Blazers and was also chosen in the 1975 ABA draft by the San Diego Sails.
Gross was the starting small forward for the Trail Blazers during the franchise's only championship season, in 1976–77. He left the NBA in 1983, finishing his career with averages of 8.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.12 steals per game.
The Trail Blazers retired his number 30 jersey on December 18, 2008, during a home game against the Phoenix Suns. Gross currently lives in the Portland area, and since retiring from basketball he has worked in the construction business.
