Bob Neely

Robert Barry Neely (born November 9, 1953) is a Canadian defenseman who played 283 NHL games across five seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Rockies. Selected 10th overall by Toronto in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft — after being taken first overall in that year's WHA Amateur Draft by the Chicago Cougars — Neely chose to sign with the Maple Leafs. He finished his NHL career with 39 goals and 59 assists, adding five goals and seven assists in 26 playoff appearances. He also represented Canada at the 1978 Izvestia Cup in Moscow, where the team earned a bronze medal.
