Bob Parsons

Robert Herber Parsons (June 29, 1950 – July 8, 2022) was a punter and tight end who played twelve seasons in the NFL with the Chicago Bears (1972–1983) before finishing his professional career with the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL. Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Parsons attended Penn State, where he played under Joe Paterno. He holds the NFL record for most punts in a single season, booting 114 in 1981—a mark that stood alone until Chad Stanley matched it in 2002.
