Bob Pellegrini

Robert Francis Pellegrini (1934–2008) was a linebacker in the National Football League who played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. Before turning professional, he played college football at the University of Maryland, where he earned All-American honors as a center. Pellegrini was selected fourth overall in the first round of the 1956 NFL Draft. In 1955, he finished sixth in Heisman Trophy voting and appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Following his playing career, he served as linebackers coach for the Miami Dolphins from 1966 to 1967. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
