Bobby Rousseau

Joseph Jean-Paul Robert Rousseau (July 26, 1940 – December 13, 2025) was a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League from 1960 to 1974, most notably for the Montreal Canadiens. Born in Montreal, he grew up with thirteen siblings, mostly sisters.

Rousseau began his career with the St. Jean Braves of the Quebec Junior Hockey League in 1955–56, leading the league in scoring with 53 goals and 85 points in 44 games. The following season he moved to the Hull-Ottawa Canadiens of the Ontario Hockey Association. Hull-Ottawa reached the 1957 Memorial Cup final, losing game seven 3–2 to the Guelph Biltmore Mad Hatters, then returned the next season to win the 1957–58 Memorial Cup, defeating the Regina Pats in six games.

In 1960, prior to turning professional, Rousseau played for the Canadian national team at the 1960 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1962 as NHL Rookie of the Year. With the Canadiens he won the Stanley Cup four times, in 1965, 1966, 1968, and 1969.
