Bones McKinney

Horace Albert "Bones" McKinney (January 1, 1919 – May 16, 1997) was a professional basketball player and coach. The 6'6" small forward played college ball at North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina, with his career interrupted by U.S. Army service during World War II. He spent most of his six-year NBA career with the Washington Capitols, also suiting up for the Boston Celtics, and served as a player-coach in his final season before the Capitols folded in 1951. McKinney later coached Wake Forest to two ACC titles and a Final Four appearance in 1962, then coached the ABA's Carolina Cougars from 1969 to 1971.
