Carl Reynolds

Carl Nettles Reynolds (February 1, 1903 – May 29, 1978) was a right-handed outfielder who played in Major League Baseball from 1927 through 1939, suiting up for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns, Boston Red Sox, and Chicago Cubs. A native of LaRue, Texas, he attended Southwestern University. Reynolds batted .300 six times across his career and was particularly effective in right field, where his strong throwing arm was an asset. His best season came in 1930, when he posted a .359 average with 22 home runs, 104 RBI, and 202 hits. On July 2 of that year, he homered in each of the game's first three innings — two inside-the-park — the first time in MLB history that feat had been accomplished.
