Carl Ernest Sawatski (November 4, 1927 – November 24, 1991) was a catcher who appeared in 633 major league games across 11 seasons. Born in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania and raised in Wayne, New Jersey, he attended Pompton Lakes High School. A left-handed batter who threw right-handed, Sawatski played for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, and St. Louis Cardinals between 1948 and 1963. He batted .242 with 58 home runs and 213 RBI over his career. Sawatski contributed to the Milwaukee Braves' 1957 National League pennant-winning club, hitting six home runs in 58 appearances that season.
