Carson Bigbee

Carson Lee "Skeeter" Bigbee (1895–1964) was an outfielder who spent his entire 11-season Major League Baseball career with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Born in Lebanon, Oregon, he attended the University of Oregon before reaching the majors. Bigbee led the National League in singles in both 1921 and 1922. Across 1,147 games, he batted .287 with 629 runs scored, 17 home runs, and 324 RBI. He was released by Pittsburgh in 1926 following a clubhouse dispute involving former manager Fred Clarke. After his playing career, Bigbee coached in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League with the Muskegon Lassies and Springfield Sallies.
