Charle Young

Charles Edward Young (February 5, 1951 – May 12, 2026) played tight end in the NFL for 13 seasons after a standout career at USC. A unanimous first-team All-American in 1972, he set a Trojans school record with 62 receptions by a tight end and helped USC win the Pacific-8 Conference title and national championship that year. The Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the first round of the 1973 NFL draft. He went on to play for the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks before retiring after the 1985 season. Young was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
