Charley Wolf

Charles Anthony Wolf (May 7, 1926 – November 26, 2022) was an American basketball coach who spent his career in the NBA during the early 1960s. A Fort Thomas, Kentucky native, he graduated from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati in 1944 and attended Xavier University. Wolf coached at Villa Madonna College, now Thomas More University, before entering the NBA. He served as head coach of the Cincinnati Royals from 1960 to 1963 and the Detroit Pistons from 1963 to 1964. He died at age 96 and is survived by six sons, including CBS Sports Network analyst Steve Wolf.
