Charlie Rhodes

Charles Anderson Rhodes, known as "Dusty" (April 7, 1885 - October 26, 1918). He was a native of Caney, Kansas, listed in playing days at 5'7", 180 lbs. He batted right-handed and threw right-handed. His major-league career ran from 1906 through 1909, primarily with the St. Louis Cardinals of the National League. His broader professional ledger — including minor-league seasons — extends from 1905 through 1914. On the cardboard side, his vintage presence is anchored to the T206 White Border issue, which is where collectors of the period most commonly encounter him. He died on October 26, 1918 in Caney, Kansas. He is interred at Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney, Kansas.
