Christer Abrahamsson

Christer Abrahamsson (born 8 April 1947) was a Swedish ice hockey goaltender who played the majority of his career with Leksands IF, winning the Swedish championship in 1969, 1973, and 1974. From 1974 to 1977 he played in the World Hockey Association with the New England Whalers. Representing Sweden internationally, he appeared in the 1972 Winter Olympics and five IIHF World Championships, earning silver medals in 1973 and 1981 and bronze in 1972 and 1974. He was named Swedish Player of the Year and awarded the Guldpucken for the 1973–74 season. He later worked as a coach. His twin brother Thommy Abrahamsson played as a defenceman.
