Clyde Milan

Jesse Clyde "Deerfoot" Milan (March 25, 1887 – March 3, 1953) was born in Linden, Tennessee. His professional career ran from 1907 through 1922, placing him squarely in the deadball era, and he is most closely identified with the Washington Senators of the AL. He also handled managerial duties at the major-league level during 1922. He was listed at 5'9" and 168 pounds. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. For collectors, his most recognized appearance is in the iconic T206 White Border tobacco set issued 1909-11 by the American Tobacco Company. His documented card checklist includes E254 Colgan's Chips, T204 Ramly, and T206 White Border. He died on March 3, 1953 in Orlando, Florida and was interred at Clarksville Cemetery in Clarksville, Texas.
