Dossier
Marvin "Cy" Wentworth was a Canadian defenseman who played in the National Hockey League from 1927 to 1940. He began his NHL career with the Chicago Black Hawks, where he developed a reputation for defensive efficiency and served as team captain during the 1931–32 season. Traded to the Montreal Maroons before the 1932–33 season, Wentworth won the Stanley Cup with Montreal in 1935 when the Maroons defeated Toronto in the finals. He was Montreal's leading scorer in that playoff run, recording three goals and two assists in seven games. He later finished his career with the Montreal Canadiens before retiring in 1940.
