Dale Dodrill

Dale Fike Dodrill (1926–2019) was a defensive tackle who spent nine seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. Born in Stockton, Kansas, he grew up in Colorado and played on the Loveland High School state championship team in 1942 before serving with the 30th Infantry Division during World War II. At Colorado A&M — now Colorado State — he played both sides of the ball and helped the program reach its first postseason appearance in the 1949 Raisin Bowl, earning All-Skyline Athletic Conference recognition before beginning his professional career in Pittsburgh.
