Danny Hoffman (March 2, 1880 – March 14, 1922) was born Daniel John and hailed from Canton, Connecticut. At 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, he batted left-handed and threw left. He played in the major leagues from 1903 through 1911, an 8-season run, spending most of his career with the St. Louis Browns of the American League. His broader professional career stretched from 1901 to 1916, bracketing his major-league years on both ends. To collectors, he is known from his appearance on T206 White Border. He died March 14, 1922 in Manchester, Connecticut and is interred at St. Michael Cemetery in Stratford, Connecticut.
