Dave Stallworth

David A. Stallworth (December 20, 1941 – March 15, 2017) was an American professional basketball player who played eight seasons in the National Basketball Association.
A 6'7" forward/center, Stallworth attended Dallas' Madison High School, graduating in 1961, before enrolling at Wichita State University. Over three seasons with the Shockers he set 18 school records, including the highest career scoring average at 24.2 points per game. He helped Wichita State reach the 1964 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, the school's first appearance in the event, and was twice named an All-American. He earned the nickname "Dave the Rave" during his college career.
The New York Knicks selected Stallworth in the first round of the 1965 NBA draft with the third overall pick. He played for the Knicks and the Baltimore/Capital Bullets across eight seasons, spanning 1965 to 1967 and 1969 to 1975, and averaged 9.3 points per game over his career. He was a member of the Knicks' 1969–70 team that won the franchise its first league championship.
