Dennis Sobchuk

Dennis Sobchuk is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre born January 12, 1954, in Lang, Saskatchewan. He spent the bulk of his career in the World Hockey Association, playing 348 games across five seasons with the Phoenix Roadrunners, Cincinnati Stingers, and Edmonton Oilers. His 35 NHL games came with the Detroit Red Wings and Quebec Nordiques. Sobchuk earned WCHL Second All-Star Team honors in 1972 and WCHL All-Star Team recognition in 1974. He played alongside his brother Gene Sobchuk on the Cincinnati Stingers, where their father Harry served as team scout. The Regina Pats of the WHL have retired his number 14.
