Dick Christy (November 24, 1935 – July 8, 1966) was a halfback who played professional football in both the NFL and AFL, appearing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Boston Patriots, and New York Titans/Jets. At NC State, he starred for the Wolfpack from 1955 to 1957, earning first-team All-American and ACC Player of the Year honors in his senior season. In the 1957 ACC title-clinching game against South Carolina, Christy scored all 29 of his team's points in a 29–26 victory, including a last-play field goal that secured the conference championship.
