Dick Fouts

Dan Fouts played quarterback for the San Diego Chargers across a 15-season NFL career from 1973 to 1987. A third-round draft pick out of Oregon, where he set multiple passing records, Fouts found his footing slowly before becoming a central figure in the Chargers' Air Coryell offense. He led the NFL in passing yards each year from 1979 to 1982, becoming the first quarterback to throw for over 4,000 yards in consecutive seasons. He earned six Pro Bowl selections, two first-team All-Pro honors, and was named NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 1982. He entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993.
