Dit Clapper

Aubrey Victor "Dit" Clapper (February 9, 1907 – January 20, 1978) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent his entire NHL career with the Boston Bruins. A right wing, Clapper skated on the "Dynamite Line" alongside Cooney Weiland and Dutch Gainor — one of the first forward combinations in hockey history to receive a nickname — and contributed to several scoring records in the 1930s. He became the first NHL player to play 20 seasons and one of only two to earn All-Star recognition at both forward and defence. Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1947, he was the first living player so honored, and later served as player-coach of the Bruins.
