Doc White card — 1909

Dossier

Doc White (1879 – 1969) survives in the cardboard record of the deadball era. His big-league service came with the Chicago White Sox of the American League. He hit and threw left-handed. For collectors, his vintage cardboard footprint is anchored by an appearance in the T206 White Border set, the survey most often consulted when his image is the target. That single-issue presence narrows the chase but also keeps demand concentrated on a known card. He lived to 90, an unusually long span for a player of his generation.
