Don Carlson

Donald "Swede" Carlson (March 22, 1921 – October 16, 2004) was a guard/forward from Minneapolis, Minnesota who played five professional seasons between 1946 and 1951. A University of Minnesota product, Carlson competed in the BAA, NBL, and NBA with the Chicago Stags, Minneapolis Lakers, and Baltimore Bullets. With the Lakers, he won three professional championships — one in each league he played in — and added the World Professional Basketball Tournament title in 1948. After his playing career, Carlson served as a coach and athletic director at Columbia Heights High School in Columbia Heights, Minnesota.
