Don Maloney

Donald Michael Maloney (born September 5, 1958) is a Canadian left wing who spent the bulk of his NHL playing career with the New York Rangers, joining the organization after being selected 26th overall in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft. He played alongside his brother Dave Maloney during his time in New York. Maloney was named MVP of the 36th NHL All-Star Game on January 31, 1984, held at Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford. Late in his career he played for the Hartford Whalers and the New York Islanders before transitioning to front-office roles.
