Doug Cline

Charles Douglas Cline (1938–1995) played linebacker in the American Football League for seven seasons, spending the bulk of his career with the Houston Oilers before a brief stint with the San Diego Chargers. A Clemson product, Cline appeared in 95 career games and recorded 7 interceptions for 77 return yards. He contributed an interception in the 1961 AFL Championship Game. The Associated Press and UPI named him to the 2nd All-AFL Team in both 1962 and 1963. He is a member of the Clemson University Athletic Hall of Fame and the Burke County Sports Hall of Fame.
